Awareness is Key

Return to www.landmarc.info

We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are. –Anais Nin.

Awareness is key. That is slowly becoming my signature statement, and it counts in both professional and private life.

I truly believe that constant and conscious awareness of what is going on inside and outside of us is the key to living a fulfilling life and running successful businesses.
Finding "the answer" is NOT the key. Let me explain.

In my practice I notice that most people are looking for "the answer". The answer to their perceived business mishaps, the answer to their perceived illnesses, the answer to their seemingly sad circumstances, the answer to why things happen the way they happen. But also: the answer to how to be successful, the answer to what makes us happy, the answer to how we can be of service to others best.

I must say: I was looking for the answer for years, and I realise I am sometimes looking still. By now, I have come to realise, though, that "THE answer" does not exist. There is not a one-size-fits-all solution to the challenges (both plus and minus) we face in life.

What I do know is that awareness of your thoughts, feelings, actions and language is the quickest road to your answer, for you. once you have learned to observe yourself, with as little judgment (preferably none) as possible, you will find there is immense power within you, power you can use to (re)create anything you like. So not only is there no "one-answer", it is also futile to look for the answer outside of ourselves.

Thoughts, feelings, emotions, words, they are all forms of energy. Depending on the context and where we are coming from (literally and figuratively speaking), we will put a negative or positive label on these energy forms. That does not change their original form, though; they are still packets of energy, neither good nor bad.

Awareness of all these "energy forms", without looking at the label, suddenly gives you awareness of power too. Just remember a time you were REALLY angry. Wasn't that powerful? Or a time you just HAD to do something to prevent a disaster from happening? Weren't you intensely energetic? Or think about a parent who sees her child in danger. Can't she do just about anything to save the child?

It was that sort of power that enabled me 7 years ago to break away from being an attorney, to have the guts to step into the unknown. Being afraid, but also feeling very powerful. I am not better than anyone, so if I can do it, anyone can.

When you realise that we all hold such powerful energy, you can start to harness it. But as I said, awareness is key. You will have to become "neutral" to the fluctuations of your mental and emotional moods (the more common name for these energy forms), and will have to start seeing the "power in the middle". Deepak Chopra calls this the "State of Grace", John Demartini defines it as "being grateful".

There are several ways to use this energy, and they will all contribute to you finding YOUR answers. In my practice, I teach several of the tools to get to this balanced place, from which you can set out lines for your business, your work, and your life in general. Once you master these skills, you can never be the same again. "Things" will start to change. For the better!

Set a Landmarc:

Firstly: become very aware of your mood swings, both towards the + and towards the -. Refrain from judgment. Just observe.

Secondly: Become aware of the power that lies in these "moods". When you are angry, feel that power. When you are frustrated, feel that energy. When you are excited, feel that force.

Thirdly: Read books, study ways, or get the tools to learn to master these states, and to let them become immensely effective (I can help!).

Lastly: take it easy. Life is not about forcing things into action. Be patient, and practice trust, both in professional and private environments.

A great saying goes:

Serenity is not seeking shelter from the storm, it is finding peace within it.

Balance lies......in the middle. That is the place to start from; that is the place from which great things happen.

Go make them happen!

Your right the Law of Attraction Is but one of 7 universal laws . It was first put foreward by wallace waddles in his 1910 book The Secret to Getting Rich. Waddles position was to get rich first and then a person would have the time and ability to become a more fully actualized human being.

marcyeah,

I like "Wally's" theory. An absolute must-read for anyone interested in this matter. Although Wallace Wattles talks about money, his teachings apply to all areas of life.

Congradulations on the life transition! I appreciate your perspective on awareness which reduces our reactive tendancies and allow us to pursue a more direct path.
